I have a plug in my car that can connect an MP3 player, but I don't know what type of cord I need to connect the ipod to the car. Anyone know the name of it?

If it is a generic Mp3 plug it must be an stereo socket which means u need a stereo mini-to-mini (both male) cable. It looks like this:

If your input plug in the car is not a standard mini female stereo then u must get a cable that fits ur specific plug. The ipod end however remains the same (mini male stereo)

you can problably go to any stereo shop, and they would be able to provide this for you. There are also FM transmitters for MP3 players to transmit to your radio.

Follow the link and the questions, in the end you will have a to choose the auxiliary adapters that match the description that you provided for your car and Ipod type.

Hope it helps.

You can either get a radio transmitter or a cassette adapter if you have a tape player in your car. Newer cars have an input jack right in the radio panel.
