In Canada we had a public poll for the Greatest Canadian, people could tell their opinion of who it was, and a brief reason why him or her. It was interesting.
How about USA? Who do you vote as the Greatest American(s) ? Pick between 1 and 10 people who were the Greatest Americans in history or even now, and a brief reason why him or her !

Abe Lincoln- Led our country through the Civil War, abolished slavery.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt- Helped us out of the Great Depression; led us through most of WWII
Ben Franklin- Participated in pretty much everything in the founding of this country
Thomas Jefferson- Wrote the Declaration of Independence
Martin Luther King, Jr. -he and followers fought for equality, which today is part of what makes this country great
Everyone who signed the Declaration of Independence. The cosequences for that alone would have cost them their lives had the Americans not won.
