Yes, Taps (if you consider it a song).

I was a Marine, and until I joined, I never really paid much attention to the song. I have had the honor of attending many military burials, after the first one, I understood "taps".

Yes, there are words to the melody.
For me hearing "Taps" being played is mounfully beautiful, and deeply saddening at the same time. I feel as though something is reaching into my chest and trying to remove a part of my soul when I hear it.

I still get goosebumps, chills and tears in my eyes whenever I hear it being played.

Songs that gave me goosebumps;
the video for Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt"
And John Cale's version of "Hallelujah"

Songs that made me cry (but because of what I associate with them);
Evanescence's "My Immortal" (due to marriage break-up)
Daniel Bedingfield's "If You're Not The One" (same reason)
3 Doors Down's "Here Without You" (used to accompany a tribute video to a dead wrestler)

Sorry, but no song has managed to make me cry straight off the bat.
As yet...

Definitely, some examples that immediately spring to mind:
Jeff Buckley - hallejuyah (leonard cohen cover)
Coldplay - Fix You
Dave Matthews Band - Christmas Song

Jupiter by Golstav Holst did as well, the simon rattle recording, if that counts as a song.

I know there's more but I can't think of them, it happens all the time.

Oh God yes. Unfortunately the last time I spoke about it I got a thumbs down for speaking about experience and was made fun of. I have a lot of songs I feel passionate about.

I can't listen to Luther Vandross' Dance with my Father Again, boy the song just made me started crying hysterically. It is so pretty, just listening to it makes you really get emotional, well as least it makes me, so I try to not to listen to it or watch the video when ever it plays on tv.

Yes - last night on X-factor when Leona sang "Sorry seems to be the hardest word". Truely nailed this one but her rendition was so from the heart. A real weepy.

For a long time, no song had ever made me feel like crying or gave me goose bumps. But then I heard "Hurt" by Christina Aguilera. For one thing, her voice is amazing. She has such a wide vocal range, and it seems to vibrate throughout your body when you hear it. For another thing, the words just hit home somehow. I heard it at a time I felt ungrateful towards my parents and the people who care about me. And here she was, talking about how she regretted not being able to talk to someone (mb her father?) until it was too late. It made me sad and I felt lucky that no one really close to me has ever died. It made me appreciate what I had. Her sad voice just made me feel for her, just made me wonder why she was in so much pain. Ok, I sound corny now, dont I? But it's the truth, I dont care if I get thumbs down for it.
