my wife put all my personal effects in garage.i call police and left, she sue for divorce,want 1/2 of property

My wife and i married for 14 yrs. helped me financially to establish business with another partner, we owe 80% on investment,she threw me out of the house,claiming i work too much, and dont take her out, the money i usually give her to pay for house she cannot account for, we have 3 children 13,11,and 7, i have to pay children support. Do i have to pay alimony after the way she treated me, and how must i share the property, she only contributed 1% initially. She sue for divorce.I really do have to work over time to pay installment on the business.

1st things 1st, why did you leave dumbass? If she attempted to throw just your things out of the house, you should have called the police then! Its called an illegal eviction. As it stands, you have left her! It will be next to impossible to prove otherwise.
WIth abandonment laws the way they are, yes she clean you out! If you have been gone for less than 72 hrs. Go back. Don't give an inch. Put your items back into your closet, and if she doesn't like it, tell her to leave! Tell her to go back to her parents house, cool off, and when she wants to talk to you in her grown-up voice, tell her that only then you will communicate. Do not leave! If you have the means to afford to hire a Nanny for your children, do so. Do this while she is gone, let her know this is your intention, and stick to it. BE A MAN, not a push over, scared little boy. WOmen are great bullies, but its just that, a Bully!

Think of the children. What turmoil this would cause. It would be a wound that woul be hard to heal. They are still very young. Is that the only reason your wife "threw" you out? or there are more? Can you not settle it yourselves first? The grass is always greener at the other side of the fence, but truth is, it isn't. Be thankful for your wife and kids and treasure them. When everyone else walks away, they will be there for you...

If you are in business then you must realize thats just the facts of Divorce yes you must pay alimony yes you will prbably have to dissolve business to split monies from house etc. You need a good lawyer period.

her claims to as why she is divorcing are a lie, she has another love, and unfortunatly u can no longer trust her or feel safe with her. make sure u get a good attorney, and know your rights. her reasons for doing this, are not her true reasons, she is out to take u for a ride. unfortunatly when someone else is in our marriage and cheating with our mate, all common decency goes out the window, they do and say things that we never thought we would hear. their reasons make no sense and are far from fair.

sell the business and give her half. The law says she is entittled to it even if you were the only one working. Either that or work on saving your marriage. Which is more important to you....the business and property or your family life?
