Tolerance, tolerance! Humbug!!!
I hear all this garbage about tolerance. We should tolerate this. We should tolerate that! And then someone is punished for not tolerating certain viewpoints. And they themselves speak of intolerance as if they cannot in any way tolerate it. I have news for those people. YOU CANNOT TOLERATE EVERYTHING!
And totally off the subject and while I'm at this. Freedom of religion is not freedom from religion. YOU CANNOT HAVE BOTH! To stop me from being a religious influence to someone who feels they have the right to be sheltered from my preaching prohibits my Constitutionally guaranteed right to practice my religion. But if my religious belief is that abortion is sin (murder) I must then be denied certain rights because I am being intolerant...and this could never be tolerated by a politically correct culture.

Jen U? In what way am I a minority? Is it race? I am American caucasion. Is it gender? I am male. Is it because I think things out before I type and post on here? Maybe it's because I am conservative?

JBoy Wonder? You said..."Pestering other people with your views is not tolerant, it's bullying."
There wasn't anything in my posting of this question or comment referring to me boasting of my tolerance. The whole comment was referring to the intolerance of those who claim we must be tolerant of others.

I can hardly understand what you are talking about. You have the freedom to say whatever you wish. I am a born again Christian and think that your "preaching" may drive more people away from the Lord than bring them to Him, but only He knows if you are doing his will OR inflating your own ego.
Lucky for you, my friend, that others DO preach tolerance, or YOU might not have the right to preach as you do.
We have lots of legalized murder in our world, your options are several: vote, promote safe sex, or if you are totally naive, abstinence.
And finally, it might be of interest to you to think a bit about the following poem:
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
Friedrich Gustav Emil Martin Niemöller (January 14, 1892 Lippstadt, Germany – March 6, 1984 Wiesbaden, Germany) was a prominent German anti-Nazi theologian[1] and Lutheran pastor. He is best known as the author of the poem First they came for the Communists
MAY THE PEACE OF THE LORD BE WITH YOU.

people discriminate. distinctive people. Atheists and Christians. they are all idiots :X i'm a Christian, and that i don't hate Atheists, I dislike the obnoxious, close-minded ones that think of that everybody has to consider them and see issues their way. i inspect issues out of your point of view, I learn issues on the internet, i like historical extraterrestrial beings(television coach) to death, yet I do exactly not agree(I do have faith in extraterrestrial beings, inquire from me approximately it in case you wanna comprehend what i think of intimately). Yeah, this is useful, particular, I see why you think of like that, yet I only think of you're incorrect. i'm not gonna call you an fool and that i don't think of you're an fool. I additionally dislike the Christian idiots that go around telling everybody who does not proportion their ideals that they are only undeniable "incorrect." Discriminate against idiots, not Christians and not Atheists.

Oh, you poor oppressed minority, it must be really hard for you.
Get over yourself, we all have the right to tell you to shove off and stop trying to jam your religion down our throats.
Tolerance is an inadequate word... what the world needs is more understanding and acceptance. You know, the stuff that's supposed to be the basis of so many religions.

Tolerance means accepting other people for what they are, and letting them live their lives in peace.
Pestering other people with your views is not tolerant, it's bullying.
I accept your right to hold your views, but not to shout them at me, or to tell me mine are wrong.
