Sweetie, I think it is time to leave this guy! First he disrespects your child and now he is hitting on you! If you wanted you could turn him in to the police. It probably isn't worth that! I think it is time to move on in you life and find someone you can trust and cares for you and your child! Its a bad situation and you need out NOW!!!

Not sure what the arguement was over But that doesn't even matter. He should not have punched you , however you should not have slapped him either. I hope this never happens to you again. I think you should postpone any and all wedding plans until the two of you have had some pre-marrital counseling and perhaps some anger management as well. No one deserves to be abused in any sense of the word. The only good thing is that the two of your are not married yet; it is much eaiser to (and cheaper) to end an engagemnt than it is to end a marriage. Best of luck!

Well a man should never hit a woman no matter what, and you should of not slapped him either. You were putting yourself in the place of a man.. Man fights man, as for you being a girl, you should of kicked him in the Nufs!! after he punched you, after all fair is fair, he had no business punching you, but it would of been an even fair trade if he slapped you back.. Get some Spunk GIRL!! next if their is one, don't back down, but make sure you tell him why you kicked him there.. A punch is a punch and a slap is a slap, but a kick will let him know you aren't messing around with his BS.. :) Good luck!!

I was in an abusive relationship for 3 years. I never chose to leave. I was so brainwashed by him especially because I was so young. I fought back the first time he hit me but in the end I gave up. Eventually he moved on to another women and I was free. I learned so much from that relationship. The main thing was how not to end up in the same situation. On the other hand, I've always felt if a women can dish it, she should be prepared to take it. I mean is his abuse going to continue even unprovoked or was it just because you hit him first. You need to really look hard at what your getting yourself into and judge if you really feel safe. Dont make up excuses for him but hitting him wasnt a smart thing to do either. Maybe even call off the wedding if you think it could get worse.

What's to help with...you shouldn't have slapped him..he shouldn't have punched you. Did you go to the police? Don't marry him! He WILL continue this behavior into the rest of your marriage.

No offense, but you got it like you gave it...noone should hit anyone despite your gender. It's not anymore ok for a girl to slap a guy than the other way around.
Find a way to relieve anger in some other way, and encourage him to do the same.

wow you are lucky that happened before you married him, now all you have to do is break up instead of getting divorced.
it is never ok for a guy to punch a girl..... and it is not ok that you slapped him either. you both need to grow up

Get the hell out of there! I think you should take some anger management to learn to channel your energy, but he HAD NO BUSINESS PUNCHING YOU. He's not worth it and if he did it once, he'll do it again.

What did you expect? You ought to be glad he isn't going to press charges. I am so tired of women bullying men, and acting as though we are just property of you all, and you can trat us any way you wish, and when it doesn't go the way you have imagined, you all play innocent victim! Chalk it up to lesson learned, and sincerly apologize for slapping him. Then advise him that the next time he decides to PUNCH you, you will castrate him and then incarcerate him for attempted murder! Then he can be the ***** for the rest of his life.
