No. It just reminds me that a lot of people like to use cliches instead of sympathy. I KNOW life isn't fair. What I want is sympathy!

nope, its just a cookie cutter consolation, doesnt show much original thought or emotional invesment, even though it may be true

Nope, I just regret telling them anything in the first place.

As for sympathy, nah, can be doing just fine without that too - empathy perhaps can be good if you KNOW they understand.

Another horrible one is "Oooh, I know JUST how you feel" - yeah right. :)

Hell no, but it forces me to wake up and smell the coffee. But coffee smells good, so I guess it is sort of comforting.
