Yes. If someone's 'true happiness' involved violating someone else, I would deny them.
Some folks are sick and their happiness would cause pain to others.
As far as gay marriage and same-sex union, I don't care what these people do if it doesn't effect me or my community in a negative way. I go to church with, work with and socialize with gay folk and they are just like you and me with the exception that they enjoy the romantic attention of someone of their own gender.
Do I have to approve of their lifestyle, no. But that is my business. I have my own opinions and have a right to them. Being called a 'breeder' is not necessarily nice but that is the view of some gays. They don't approve of my way of life but we learn to live together. I have nothing to do with their true happiness.

Not on that particular issue. But it's a dangerous question you ask. Do we all deserve "true happiness"? If we did, nobody would ever work. Cheating and stealing would be rampant. And what of child molesters? What makes them truly happy? Serial killers? Yes, there are a large number of people I'd deny true happiness. But if you're gay, go on and get married. I don't care.

No, unless their "true happiness" involved invading another country without cause, or genocide. What consenting adults do with each other is none of my or anyone else's business.

Only if it infringes on another persons happiness.
But on the Gay Marriage issue, I don't see how it would make anyone else unhappy.
