Please help me connect these two thoughts; I need as many suggestions as possible. Thanks so much. I have been answering questions as much as I can and posting several different ways.

Writing is a process; it is a way to reveal your thoughts but it can be frustrating finding the right words to express what you want to say. English has over a million words and the nuances evoked by different words can be slight but important in saying exactly what you want to say. Worrying about perfection is pointless because perfection is unattainable; it means different things to different people. Your idea of perfection is unlikely to coincide with anyone elses so it is better to aim at doing your best and nothing more.

My personal opinion? Dreams are sometimes a hodgepodge of information processed in your mind that don't necessarily go together. If indeed they do mean something, the anxiety, anger, and agression would be a part of your life and may be repressed thoughts about one issue or another. Think of things that are getting on your nerves where you either feel the desire to be extremely powerful or you seem weak and unsure. Is there any resentment there? Any hidden anger? Again, dreams don't always come from rational thoughts, and perhaps you are having and irrational reaction to jumbled ideas processed in the deep sleep phase.

SG, I can understand your feelings. Let me share my views on this issue.

Dreaming , if you are referring to the sleep related , is not at all in your control. Writing is . Always.

On the other hand , if you are refering to dreaming in waking stage, to achieve something that seems impossible you can bring it under your control.

One of the biggest obstacles in life is Expectation. All of us, by habit, start to expect immediately after we start our efforts. Some do even before they start their effort. naturally the result will fall short of your "dream" expectation. You have reason to be frustrated.

Try Not to expect anything from what you do. Subconciously if you do, try expecting less. Whatever you get will propel you to be enthusiastic , rather than frustrating.

Writing , there are two types. One in which you write for yourself and the other in which you write for the others. The second one will always be an INHIBITED writing. You have to put yourself in others` shoes and write.

If you write for yourself , there is freedom of thought and expression. In fact you discrd your negativity with such writing.

Pleaase try to combine both. One advantage you have in Yahoo is that you are sharing with a million unknown faces . You donot have to put on a mask when expressing yourself.

I went by that route and I am happy about it.

Writing allows you to put your dreams into words. You can express your dreams in your own words and you can share them with the world. Writing can be frusterating if it isn't as perfect as you'd like. Dreams often aren't perfect, either.

I don't know. Good luck!

writing allows me to express myself and at the same time its frustrating; like dreaming because its an experience i am accustomed to and helps me relate to others, yet it is hard for me to connect ym dreams with my actual thoughts and experiences.

To tell you the truth I don't see that those two are anything alike.

Writing is dictated by the conscious mind and is logical and interwoven by intelligence and analytical thought.

Dreaming cannot be the result of conscious thoughts - it is the result of unfettered (by the logical parts of our brains) random thoughts/experiences.

So, sorry I can't be of any help to you at all.

Good luck with that.

If you are given the gift, you have to write. If you dream, share them with all.

Because I do not know enough about myself, how can I express myself properly?
