I have a question about wording of a linear equation,
for example: Add 1, to x, then multiply by 6. for one eqution, and then: Divide by 6, then subtract by 1.
If you are familiar with linear functions and equations, any help would be great.

Make sure the order is maintained:

Add 1 to x: x + 1

Then multiply by 6: (x + 1) * 6

For the other equation, divide by 6: x / 6

Then subtact 1: (x / 6) - 1

The trick is to take your time and read the problem statement throroughly. Good luck.
