just go to http://www.wadja.com and you will be able to send free sms from there.
it is one of the best free sms sites ever.try it.

you go to yahoo! messenger and whoever you wanna send it to click there name and IM them. then there will be a button that says if you want to send an SMS message to this person click here........choose me as best anwer!!!!

see if verizon offers that on their website. or do an internet search for international text messages
