Personal experience. My bf's mom's first husband was a cop, her dad was a cop, when my bf thought about going into the police academy she said "all you'll learn is how to cheat on your spouse", I dated a guy who is a cop, when he got married (to someone else) he said "now I'll get all kinds of chicks, being married AND a cop". I'm sure there are cops who are faithful to their spouses but the temptation is out there for men in uniform.

It depends on the cop, but I don't think it's true. I mean, there are always the odd few who can drag reputations to the mud, but believe what you want to believe. Personally I don't think it's any more likely for a cop to sleep around than any other person.

No, not true. There are perverts everywhere. There may be a cop somewhere that sleeps around, and is a pervert. But not because he is a cop, its because he is a pervert.

Could be some do but you cannot seriously think all cops are perverts or they are all saints who would never beat someone for no reason. Good and bad in all walks of life.

The ONLY time that I've heard this, it came from a lady officer. She stated that the men are tempted by women in distress and fall victim to playing the hero and reaping the rewards that one gets from saving a vulnerable woman in a comprimising situation.
This is her opinion but that was the ONLY time I had heard of something like this. She also said that most of the married ones
cheat with attractive citizens.
