How about if YOU become a candidate. Run for a local office and learn about yourself and your prospective constituents firsthand! Quit bellyaching and put yourself on the spot! Lots of folks complain but few are willing to put up with what a candidate and then the politician has to put up with.

It's a stereotype that seems to draw attention to itself whenever it rings true. There are many corrupt politicians, and there are many that are not. Being a politician puts a person in the position to try and satisy everyone, and it's just not possible. Humans err by nature, and when it happens that a politician errs, it's a major issue, because they serve such a large group of people. In no way am I condoning irresponsible political behavior, but the truth lies more in the fact that when a mistake is made, it is never forgotten, and the facts of the mistake are scrutinized so closely that many varying opinions and accusations arise.

Because our country has a political machine called the Rep's and Dem's so you must be heartless, a thief . and crook and so many other distasteful things before you can even get into their good graces and you must have proven your position , same as the mafia was at one time , the Kennedy's destroyed the Mafia because of the competition , Remember Dem's andRep's answer to the same master, as the hit men etc did in the mafia

Politics!! If you enter politics you can be sure you will be investigated and every little secret will be revealed even your mothers affair with the milkman. It can be brutal and not for the faint of heart. As for ethics most politicans start out to be ethical, but there are so many loop holes. and "ins and outs" ethics gets replaced with "well it's legal"

They probably didn't start out that way... they probably were there to help and change the world and then little by little they ... realized that .. they're hearts were breaking and it didn't matter. .. no matter what they tried to do ... nothing ever went the way they had hoped... and then like ANNIKIN skywalker ... They crossed to th DARK SIDE.. Its a question I ask myself EVERYDAY>>> and that is why I voted to change things. that is all you can do VOTE... and make a big stink when you see wrong. and call the local news and the paper.
