Your question immediately tells me that you are feeling platonic and your friend is feeling romantic. Tell that person how much you care about them as a FRIEND, and if they continue pursing a different kind of relationship, your friendship will be jeopardized. If that person truly cares about you as a friend, they will discontinue the behavior for two reasons: (1) if they care about you they would never want to make you uncomfortable, and (2) they will cease and desist in order to perserve your friendship so they don't risk losing it. In summary, if your friend continues the behavior once you politely and directly tell them, then you should question how much your friend really cares about you. A person who "cares" would never want you to feel uncomfortable.
