I suggest the Glenn Miller Orchestra even though it was around the 40's, cool swingin' big band tunes. Really good music this coming from a guy whose parents were not even born yet. It was my mom that turned me on to it.

A real toe tapper is Mel Torme's version of It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing off his Great American Song Book album. It's got your brass, quite a few hopping instrumental solos, and of course Mel's signature Velvet Vocal Scats.

I have to agree with Library Occupied on this one "In The Mood" is one of his songs and Tuxedo Junction, etc, etc. I was in the colorguard in his school and our band played alot of his music.
