A declarative sentence makes a statement. It always ends with a period.
An imperative sentence gives a command. It is usually ended with a period unless it is a strong command with an exclamation point.
An interrogative sentence asks a question. It of course will end with a question mark.
And the last is an exclamatory sentence that shows excitement or expresses strong feeling. It ends with an exclamation point.
Or are you looking for Simple, compound and complex sentence structure?

Along with the four sentence types based upon "what they do" (declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory), there are also three sentence types based upon "composition" or structure (simple, compound, and complex). You can mix the two in many creative ways to impress, entertain, and edify your reader.
