I just got a 1950 Chevy 3100....it's needs some work (but thats why I got it)

Where should I start? HOW should I start?

I was thinking about doing the interior first (IMO it needs the most work) The engines pretty good (needs a new battery box, etc...)

Any suggestions? I'm going to do a full restoration...

Dont do the interior first! Work on the body first then the engine then the interior last! Dont you watch OverHaulin!...lol. Plus my husband owns a Rod Shop!

if your doing a full restoration including paint and panels then chances are pretty good that you will be taking all the glass out in order to paint and repair so over spray could be a problem with you interior I have done a modest restoration and started with stripping chrome and any mechanical repairs first there is nothing worse that painting or upholstering only to find that you had to weld a hole in the floor pan or fire wall and have to remove already set peices of carpet or upolstery or painted panels getting scratched > so I do mechanicals first and then move to bodywork and finaly chrome and a upolstery . but thats just me
its your job and you can do it any way as long as it gets the result

Do your body work first then work on the interior. You can strip out the interior first and then do the outside but I wouldn't put anything new inside before doing the body work. With all the sanding and painting it could get ruined.

A full restoration means body removed from frame along with engine/trans, suspension, wiring, brakes, etc. Media blasting the entire body and frame, complete refinish inside, out and underneath, engine rebuild, brake rebuild, reassembly THEN interior restore.
