Eliminate the Income Tax, and replace it with the Fair Tax.
And please, if anyone wants to take issue with the Fair Tax, why not read the site, and argue against the bill as it is written? I see far to many people who are ignorant of the facts, and repeat lies that they've heard.
The facts are, This tax would also replace all Wage taxes, and it would mandate a monthly prebate check to every household in the United States. It is also environmentally friendly, because there is no tax on used items, and that will encourage people to recycle and repair, rather than throw things away.

This is something all politicans can do. But they won't. Cut alot of the social spending projects. Some people really do need the help. Most don't. People live outside their means get in trouble and expect everyone else to bail them out of their mistake. Wrong answer Jack!! Next cut the pork barrel spending. If you knew all the extra spending that is snuck into bills in order to get support for them it would blow your mind. The discretionary spending of our government is running amuck. That would be a good start. Don't hold your breath though.

Stop taxing everybody so much and putting that money to waste, such as a bridge to nowhere or a tea cup museum that people can care less about. The Democrats have a reputation of taxing people higher than Republicans, which would help the economy if used effectively.

Balance the budget by lowering government spending, not raising taxes. The lower taxes have increased tax revenue. It would be counterproductive to raise taxes if the revenue is already up. The only thing raising taxes will do is hurt the economy...if their answer to a balanced budget is raising taxes...we're in for another recession.

They can leave the economy alone - unemployment is at an all time low, jobs are paying well, and if they get thier hands on things they will raise taxes and destroy the momentum.

leave all the taxes alone, the economy is great.
They could close the border and get rid of the illegals, that would help open up more jobs and reduce even more unemployment. ( which is already very low)

well... controlling the debt is a nice start... it's not at a crisis point yet, but it may be headed in that direction and controlling it will help issues like the intrest rates... and even consumer confidence...
they could also work on issues like the trade deficit and look at trading practices and tariffs... this could bring compaines and jobs back home...

Sure as heck isn't raising the minimum wage.
Maybe if they just destroy it, then give it back to the republicans to fix, again.
They need to eliminate welfare, along with about 95% of the social programs that exist today. Make people go out and work.
