Jesus spoke about it once. Removing the splinter in your neighbour's eye without removing the log in your own.
I guess people like that are just cranky with themselves for having bad habits of their own. Or maybe they just want you to be a better person than they are.

Some people just like to advise on just about every subject. They like to teach and believe in helping...with maybe a little pontificating going on.
