It seems as though I recall some added colorization? I do recall during the broadcast they had an announcement pertaining to the updated feature, whatever it was.

The colorization was always there. It is one of the early color movies, in fact. What you probably recall is that you could actually see the color in the movie on TV, with the advent of color TV.

Yeah, for years, every year, I'd watch 'WOOz' on a black & white tv. And then, the first year we had a color tv, when the film went from b&w to color as Dorothy stepped out of the house into Oz I thought we were being invaded by aliens or something! LOL! It really freaked me out 'coz I never expected it.
