Do you think that I have a chance at becoming a broadway actress? I'm 13 and I have been in 5 school plays, 1 school play student directed, one church play (not one of those pathetic little church skits but a very good, top-notch one), one community play, and working on another. I am keeping a portfolio of all the plays that I have been in to show my experience to directors. My dream is to make it to broadway sometime after college. Acting school is not an option for me, but I want to major in theater in college. I am set on being in many community plays from now on. I can play the piano (which helps when singing), I can sing well (or so I'm told), and I have some dance experience. Do I have a chance? what are ways that I could get better?

Just keep doing what you're doing. Stay with your musical training (knowing how to read music will be essential in Broadway theatre).

Stay with your community theatres, do as many musicals as possible. Keep your resume updated.

Also, I would suggest starting both vocal lessons and dance lessons (tap, ballet and jazz - you will need strength in those three). In order to make it to Broadway, you need to be able to dance, sing and act.

And majouring in theatre is a great way to go. College will not only allow you more opportunities for experience, but many college drama programs do a showcase at the end of the program which they invite Artistic Directors, Casting Directors and agents to attend.

Good luck!

If you keep following your dreams in becoming a broadway actress, I'm sure that you one day accomplish your dreams. Honestly keep to your singing and dancing because with practice acting will become part of those. In broadway you might be cast as an ensemble part but with more expirience you will grow and become more important in the broadway business!

Of course you have a chance. Sounds like you're working really hard. Check out the local theaters and see if they have auditions, or join a theater group for your age group...it would be fun, plus experience. Good luck!
