You have lost. If you do not show up in court a judgement is entered in most cases and the party who did show up gets what they want because there is no one there to argue with.

I'm not sure about your circumstances, but when I divorced my ex, he wouldn't respond to any of the papers he was served. So eventually I was given the divorce on my terms, as he didn't even show to contest. Make sure your spouse hasn't been granted this on a default basis because you were absent. Call the courthouse, your attorney, someone first thing on Monday. Good luck!

You are getting divorced, whether or not you want to. So what's the difference? You missed a filing date, so it is too late to counter sue. Most states divided everything down the middle anyway, but if you live in a state that does not, you better get an attorney quickly and act. Why are you late here?

Chances are that you will lose by default. If you don't have a lawyer, then by all means get one right now. Most states will award all or most of what the other party wants if one side or the other does not show up in court, and then they will also lose most of their rights to appeal.

Maybe not. But I would think your chances to win aren't as good now. What's the judge going to think when he/she hears you missed the date? They already gave you an extension and now you went over it so this may put the ball in his court.

depends on the state. some states you don't have to sign the papers by the date. if you don't, the judge can grant the divorce. check your state's laws.

The spouses attorney will send one more letter than you will probably be served papers at home or work.

Call the clerk and find out. Normally if you don't show up for a hearing you have lost the battle.
