I would say it depends on the school. Some schools use averages, others require "no grade less than". You may also be able to submit recommendations or personal compositions that will help you if the school looks at each candidate individually instead of just a blanket requirement. Good Luck!

I think it depends on the program(me) you're trying to get into. I'm a graduate of the IB program, and had 2 D's in Spanish and one C (the rest were pretty much all A's) going into my Junior year in High School. I only participated in the 2 year Junior/Senior program and didn't have to take a test or any real assessment to get in, but my GPA was about a 3.7-3.8 unweighted, 4.3 weighted going in. Just ask the coordinator or someone else at the school who's IB curriculum you'd like to follow. Plus, you should also consult your parents as they should really be a part of your decision making process in this regard (in my experience anyway).

Best of luck to you! If you need any help or would like a mentor to the program (especially once you have to do you're Extended Essay, or Theory of Knowledge, etc.) please feel free to contact me.

You really shouldnt be making anything less then a B in middle school. Compared to high school, middle school is just a drive in the park. Especailly if you are going to be taking IB class, then you know you'll have at least an hour of homework everynight, and you have to write essays every weekend. God luck buddy.
