Can I drive in another state with my learners permit from a different state?

I live in california and my family is going to New Jersey. Will I be able to drive?

Yes, as long as there is a licensed driver in the car with you to accept full responsibility for anything that may happen.

no, say i have my license in ohio becuase the age is 16 i cannot drive in new jersey where the drivers age is 18

Drive like a normal human being, don't do anything to get a cop's attention, and you can drive anywhere you want or whereever your parents will let you.
