It maybe labor that is how it starts from your back to your stomach I am 38 weeks also and have been having the same problem I went on Thursday and they told me my cervix was closed also but I was losing my plug and the pain comes and goes every few minutes I believe it is early labor they will see you when your water breaks or you have a bloody show. but if it is truly painful go to the hospital I did so I wouldn't worry. you have all the right symptoms of early labor and my cervix hurt when they checked it as well. It won't hurt to go get checked out they will monitor you for contractions and your baby heart beat for a few hours and if you aren't in labor they send you home. wish you luck.

Point a million: Every occasion has to discover volunteers to face as applicants. Not ample volunteers - no longer ample applicants. Point two: Standing in a hopeless ward, despite the fact that fascinating for all of the country wide events, isn't continually useful, and, of path, bills cash. Standing way placing up a deposit, and publishing election fabric. Point three: In 2007 I do not feel any occasion is fielding applicants in additional than 60% of all of the council seats up for election. There is a ward close me that's most likely solidly Tory. A few years in the past the Tories could not discover a candidate. Nor would every other occasion besides Labour. So he gained the seat by way of default. The man was once a conventional historic staunch socialist and it was once fairly ironic that he spend four years representing a prime Tory rural ward. The Tories made definite they submit a candidate four years later. P.S. If you are going to cite Shakespeare you will have to no less than appreciate it. "Wherefore" truthfully way "why are you", no longer "wherein are you". Juliet was once asking why Romeo needed to be from a household with whom hers had a feud.

How do you know your cervix is closed??? The "pains" may have opened it... I think you are in labor... I would get to the hospital immediately to be checked-out. NOW!!!! Even if you aren't in labor the baby could be in distress.. Quit reading, do not answer these and go to the hospital!!!! Good luck....

It could be a number of things. When you have the sharp shooting pains, put your hand on your tummy...does it feel tight? Time the pains, if they are regular, and your tummy is tight it could be labor.
The pains could also be from your baby dropping. She could be sitting on your sciatic nerve. If the baby has dropped this could also cause painful sex...

A word of advice, When in doubt, call your doctor.

This could be the beginning of "back labor". I would call the hospital you are going to birth at and speak to the maternity floor charge nurse. She can answer any questions you may have. Dont be surprised if they ask you to come in....pack a bag...and congratulations!

get off this computer and call your doctor. Although it may be a false alarm, you don't want to take chances. Something similar happened to me and I wanted 6 hr. before going to the hosp because I figured it wasnt time and I hadn't dialated and once I got there had to have an emerg. c-section. My little one was holding onto the e.cord. check it out.... congrats!

You need to call the doctor, while you are waiting for the doctor to call you back, try to get on your hands and knees to take the pressure off of your sciatic nerve and try rocking back and forth. You really need to be seen, so get off of here and to the doc.
Best of luck!

You could very well be in labour. Have you walked around to see if it changes any ? Or if you lie down does it stop??
If not call dr and tell them whats happening.
Good Luck!!
