who knows anything about the sims 2 computer game?

Question

i have a few questions and if you can answer them correctly, then you can have 10 pts. (this is the sims 2 game, without expansion packs f.y.e.)

#1- how do you flatten bumpy landscape?
#2- how do you delete something you don't want anymore? like an extra wall?
#3- i know that if your trying to make someone go somewhere, you just have to click on them and click the footprints where you want her, but when i do that, they dont move? how do i force them to go?
#4- where do you find the kitchen sinks?
#5- how do you put lights on the cealing?
#6- how do you turn the stairs the way you want them?

#1- To do this use build mode. You will pick terrain and have the option to raise, lower, or level the terrain. You probably just want to level it. To do so, click on the button for level terrain (you can hover the mouse pointer over each and it will tell you which is which). Then left click on the ground where you want to level it and hold the left mouse button down to drag it to cover all the ground needing to be leveled. Beware, objects and landscaping in the way can be a problem. It is best to level the terrain before you start building on the lot.

#2- To move objects and Sims, you can use the code (push Shift, Ctrl, C to get the box to pop up so you can put the code in) to move objects. The code is move_objects on (or move_objects off to turn it back off). Hit enter after putting the code in and the box will disappear. Then you can click on whatever object or Sim you want to move and move it or drag it to the lower right part of the screen (if in Buy or Build mode) and sell the object or delete the Sim. If you want to get rid of walls it is different. You will need to be in Build mode - Walls. Once there, hold the control ket (Ctrl) down and drag it over the base of the walls you want to delete. This should remove them for you. Sometimes it's tricky and you have to have the placement of the mouse just right.

#3- Once in the lot, go to options panel and pick game play options and turn free will off. Then you will have to control everything the Sims on that lot do. They might do a little bit for themselves if you sit back and leave them alone but, that varies. You can't control an NPC Sim (like the paperboy, mailman, maid, or other visitors) though.

#4- All sinks are available in Buy mode under the plumbing category. I think it has a faucet for an icon. Scroll through there and you will see the kitchen sinks. They will need to be put onto a countertop, so put your kitchen counters in first.

#5- Again, go to Buy mode and choose the icon for lighting then choose hanging lights. You should be able to place them anywhere on the ceilings so long as the spots you pick that do not already have a light or a decoration object hanging from them.

#6- Stairs can be tricky. They have to be in just the right spot to work - meaning there has to be room at the top & bottom for the Sims to access the stairs. To rotate the stairs, hold the left mouse button down and move your mouse around. That should rotate them as needed but, it might take a few tries to get them just right. Like I said, they can be tricky.

All in all, I would suggest visiting the official site and searching the BBS forum for your questions. You will probably find that they've been asked and already answered by someone else.

#1. you flatten bumpy landscape by going to build mode and then terrain there you wil see the arrows with the squiggle/ you will have to keep on fixing it until you like it
#2. you can delete something you don't want by pressing ctrl + shift+ c then type in moveObjects on and click enter but i dont think you can delete an extra wall you would have to undo it all over
#4. you find sinks in buy mode then click the faucet icon and it would have a pic of a sink and click on it
#5. you put lights on the ceilings by buying those hanging lights
#6. if you are talking about those short stairs usually placed outside the you use the top arrow with the square and place it on the flooring which comes with the door.
