Can you help me please ?
I just refilled my cartrides as per normal, and was printing with out problems. I went to print another document when the "feed" light (the 2nd light) started to flash and a message opn the computer said the printer needs servicing ? Can you suggest how I can over ride this ? My gut feeling (could be wrong) is that the drip pads are full, as I read this somewhere, I has tried to sponge and syringe them a little and got some ink out, but how do I stop the light flashing so I can keep printing?
I was in the middle of helping youngest daughter out with school work for tomorrow.
Any advice welcome

According to this trouble shooting page the flashing red light indicates that one of the ink cartridges are low.
You do not need to do anything at this time. When the red light is on permanently then you must replace the ink cartridge.

I suggest you read the manual. If you do not have one then down load the manual from the epson site.

Was the chip on the cartridge properly reset?

Epson cartridges have a chip on them that acts as an on/off switch if this has not been reset the printer will act as though the cartridge is empty or defective. the only way to remedy this is to replace the offending cartridge or reset the chip.

The chip can only be reset using a chip re-setter.

Don't have an Epson printer but when things like that happen on my HP I just switch it off at the main power supply and when I switch it on again it has reset itself. May not be a long term solution but might get daughters homework completed.

Good luck

its easy to stop that annoying red light flashing all you have to do is pull the plug out of the socket and you will find that it stops as if by magic, you will also find that if you disconnect the printer from your computer and throw the printer in the bin you will never be bothered by the red light affect again

If the cartridges are chipped you may need to reload one at a time and charge the chips up

you could try downloading the epson status monitor from their website, this will give you a whole host of diagnostic tools to use on your printer, you can get it at this site under support./driver and software downloads.
