I never have hesitated, I felt a little sorry for shoting that postman but, hey he did enter the house. Cops didn't like it when I shot that old guy cause I thought he might enter my house though, still a good lawyer and slow judical process seen that all right in the end

You need to refine this question unless you are using it to find psychos.

I don't think any law allows you to shot someone who merely threatened you. That is way to vague. Threatened you with a weapon? What kind? Did you force them into threatening you?

Give an example i.e. someone who points a gun at you and demands your belongings after breaking into your house.

yes, it would be too messy,
besides,"threatened" ? It could be empty words, or there could be another way out without shooting anyone or any violence, Also, cops might not believe your story about why there is a body, your future job could be on the "prison break" show for some time

If I felt that my life or the lives of my children were in danger, I would shoot first and ask questions later. I would rather be tried by twelve than be carried by six.

Not for one minute! I had my house built with all the window sills sloped in. That way even if the SOB tries to go out the window when I put a CAP in his A** he will fall back into the house. It will make it easier for the police to find him.
