Actually I think only he likes himself. The other half of the country MAY have only voted for him because he was Republican or they didn't like the other choice of Evil oops I mean politician.
I can't think of anything good that he has done I live in a town that he stopped at declaring that one of the local factories wouldn't shut down under his plan, and six months later it closed down. He signed a bill into law that you cannot go bankrupt for medical reasons, which is wrong in MANY ways. I have an artificial leg have the time I'm battling insurance companies just to get coverage or pay for the $50,000 piece of equipment, how is a college student supposed to pay for that on top of everything else and not go bankrupt because of it? The only good that will come out of this President's term is that he can NEVER run for office again. By the Amendment of Presidential Succession.

National unemployment rate is at around 5%. 3% in the community that I live in. Which has never ever happened before. A record number of people now own there own homes. A record number of people are in college now. And life for my family and myself has never been better.

But on the other hand...

Here's the flavor of most international commentators regarding US mid-term elections:

US midterm election results that heralded a massive power shift in the American political landscape were greeted with jubilation around the world.

From Paris to Pakistan, politicians, analysts and ordinary citizens said they hoped the Democratic takeover of Congress and the departure of defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld would force US President George Bush to adopt a more conciliatory approach to the globe's crises, and teach a president many see as a "cowboy" a lesson in humility. (From Ireland Online)

What bunk. The drivel being carried by international media sickens me.

By now you know of course that there is little difference between Republican and Democrat. The Democrat win will no doubt cause many to heave a sigh of relief and go straight back to their slumber while the real power behind BOTH Democrats and Republicans continue their push for globalization.

The win will change nothing, except perhaps to accelerate changes already in place. My bet: not a single policy will change during this new term. Do not be fooled by the elation expressed worldwide. Listen instead to an audio commentary on the election results by Fintan Dunne.

International Reaction to US Elections
"A cycle has ended. The cycle of pre-emptive wars, of unilateralism, ends in great failure. This is the truth that is becoming clear also to the American public. A new cycle must begin and I think there is a great responsibility for Europe." - Massimo D'Alema, Italian Foreign Minister

[Ed: Do not believe for a minute the cycle has ended. To me the call for a new cycle simply means a radical acceleration, with Europe possibly taking a leading role.]

"Of course, the citizens of the United States are humans with a conscience. It's a reprisal vote against the war in Iraq, against the corruption within the Bush administration. All this fills us with optimism." - Hugo Chavez , Venezuelan president

[Ed: At the risk of offending some, the vast majority of US voters have absolutely no personal conscience: they voted purely based on opinions created by the media in the run-up to the elections. If they had understood the real issues, they would not have participated in the sham vote.]

"A lot of Americans have realized that Mr. Bush has lied to them." - Laurent Fabius, former French prime minister

[Ed: To single out Bush as the only liar in the US, or even the Western world, is a faux pas which should be recorded in the annals of political bloops. We are so awash in lies right now, it's nigh on impossible to believe ANYone.]

"The message of the American people is clear -- there needs to be a major change of direction on Iraq. Just as in Britain, people in the U.S. feel that they have been ill-advised, misled, and ignored. These election results have not only damaged Bush, they mean that (Prime Minister Tony) Blair is now totally isolated in the international community." - John McDonnell, candidate for the Labour Party leadership

[Ed: Again, this is rhetoric to continue the farce that citizens actually have a voice when voting. When the options are controlled, we have no free choice whatsoever. It's like being forced to choose from a display of vegetables, when all I really want is an apple.]

"The foreign policy of George Bush is wrong. And Mr. Harper had better be listening because I believe Canadians were frankly already ahead of the Americans in reaching these same conclusions." - Jack Layton, NDP Leader

[Ed: Profound. If Canadians were ahead, they would no neither Bush nor Harper are the real culprits.]

"(The vote was) the beginning of the end of a six-year nightmare for the world.'' - Statement signed by more than 200 Socialist members of European Parliament

[Ed: It's my belief we ain't seen nothing yet...]

He has gotten the economy working great, stocks were up, they went down after the election but they were up to a all time high, Investments doing great.

The tax cuts for business got business going and they returned more revenue than ever before in tax money.

The idea that the tax cuts only helped the rich is and was just a plain lie, that the liberals used to attack. It got busineses working and thier working got people working,

Unemployment at one of the lowest, ( alot lower than anywhere in Europe)

he got the medicare drug program ( it is costing alot of money but I thouigh liberals wanted not only a drug plan but an entire medical program for everyone.

He is doing great on the internal US issues. He did not close our border and the last fence bill was a joke, nothing to actually close the border. ( but then the democrats want to leave it open, so they should be happy with him on that also)

he has done alot of thing to help everyone. he helps the rich get richer so that they will be able to give us poor slobs more jobs at walmart ......... working for measly wages. he helps young men and women through college and university ........ THAT IS, IF THEY EVER COME BACK FROM IRAQ. he helps the senior and the poor and the chronically sick with raising the price of prescription drugs so that pharmaceutical companies will get hefty profit and thereby will have plenty of money to do research on prescription drugs that will cost even more

this wonderful president should be awarded the NOBEL PRIZE FOR PEACE!

Now don't get mad my dear, Mr. Bush has helped many more groups than just the rich. Silly girl...
He's helped Big Oil a lot, wars are good for Oil
He's helped extremists a lot too, ones like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, by giving them a cause and justifying their actions
He's helped the Mexicans out... of America
He's helped Chinese and Japanese economies by continuing to sell them Bonds and importing their goods
He's helped Big Business by refusing to regulate their actions (ala Wal Mart, anyone?)
AH, impressive right? He's a nice guy inside, I hope you realize.
Oh, he's helped a few more choice enterprises too:
- Selling weapons to warlords has helped them continue chaos in Sudan and Somalia, among other places
- Haliburton and other defence contractors
- Mortuaries and Veteran's Care Facilities

So you see my silly little friend, he is much more helpful than you can even BEGIN to imagine.

He is the driving force for the steady employment of undertakers in Iraq & The United States of America. He should get a Golden Coffin Award from those in that business.

I approve of President of the Untied States of America George W. Bush. I always HAVE approve of him and I always WILL and I hope that in 2008, his brother Jeb runs for President and WINS, that ways Americans who complain and do not approve of George W. Bush can deal with another four years of another President Bush.

I like President Bush a lot. He has led us to the fight against world wide terrorism so that we do not have to fight it so much at home. He has done a wonderful job with the economy. The stock market has reached record heights just in the last few months. In addition, he has given us the tax cuts that have enabled us to have more of our own money to do with as we please. He is kind, caring, generous, and spiritual. He's a good man!!

Chow!!

Why do you hate him? Keep in mind that the media is liberal. Research!!

He does what he says he's going to do. Many politicians make promises and rarely keep any of them. He is strong on security. We didn't get to be one of the world super powers by standing idle while theres a threat. I support his economic policy. Do you feel like your having a hard time finding a job today? If you are I'd like to know which field you are in.
