I've found quite a few pets in my day. Two were rescued from the road.
Actually, I saw a dog running past my house down the middle of the road. I called it and it stopped running. Turns out, that dog had been running for 26 miles. It had jumped out of it's owner's truck and started running to find the owner. I took it home and called the Humane Society, which gave the name of the owner.
I also found a mangy dog on the corner near my home. It looked like it wanted someone to take it home. That dog was the lost pet of a owner of a local car dealership. She became their mascot, and he says she's the smartest, most intuitive dog he ever had.
The third dog I rescued was left behind in a national park by drug dealers we accidentally came upon. When they saw us, they left their poor dog behind. It's feet were bleeding and it was limping badly. If we hadn't saved it out there in the wilderness, it would surely be dead. It eventually was adopted by the park rangers.
So there you have it - it felt very rewarding to help those poor animals in need. All you have to do is look into their eyes and see that they are begging for your help.

I will bring the pet to '' SPCA '' it is dangerous for a poor helpless animal to wander around at the road. Some owner buy them when they are baby and when the animal grows up, the owner abandon them. What a poor a animal :'(

I would see if it had a ID tag so that I could call their owner. If there was no ID tag, I would bring it home - feed and care for it, and run an ad in the newspaper stating I found a puppy, kitten, dog, or cat - seeing if anyone would claim their beloved pet. I would also call the animal shelter and report the animal was at my house if someone was to inquire to their lost pet. In the end, if no one claimed the pet, I would give it a home and spoil it rotten with love.

Most of my pets were strays that had no other place to call home. So I adopted them in and they helped to make my house a home with their love.

First, I would make sure it wasn't going to harm me, then I would take it home and give it proper food and water. I would put up lost pet signs and maybe something in the newspaper. I would immeadetly bring it to the vet so it could get checked out and gived shots if needed. Depending on it's personality I would either keep if (if no one claimed it) or give it to an animal shelter if it didn't seem happy with me.

I love animals much more than I should so if I had the money to take care of it I would take it home and make an appointment with the vet and make sure its healthy and keep it and if keeping it isn't an option look up a no kill animal shelter in your area and they'll take him/her in.

Take it home, look after it. If you're talking about pets, try to find it' owner or for wild animals, call the relative society and find out where the nearest shelter was.

If I have space available I try to give them a new home but if not I clean them up get them vaccinated and treated for an health problems and try to get them adopted. I used to trap feral cats and rehabilitate them to house cats. All of them (include one in my house) are living quite comfortably, sleeping on couches and such.

I've brought home many dogs & cats, that I've found wandering the streets. I look for their owners, and if they are not claimed, they are put up for adoption to find great forever homes.

I WOULD HAVE BROUGHT IT IN MY HOME AND GIVE IT FOOD SO IT WOULD SURVIVE. The next day i would call a vet and see if it has any virures or problems with its boby and if not then i would keep it..

I've found a lot of stray animals, and I take care of all of them, if they let me.
