5'0" should be around 100 ponds.
Add five pounds for every inch... so 5'3" should be around 115 pounds. You're perfect!
Don't worry about feeling self-concious... everyone is, about something. Do some sit-ups every night. Do as many as you can to start (20 or more for sure) on the first night, and repeat that number every night until it's easy... then add more. Or do them during commericals, when you find yourself bored, etc.
As long as nothing evolves into an eating disorder, it's a good idea to excercise anyway... and sit-ups will do exactly what you wish to do! Not only that, but they give you good abs... fast. Not only that, but after doing them people just tend to feel good. Good luck!

Overweight? not even close! Your family history is probably a sign that you need to eat healthy and exercise, but don't obsess about it; for your height you are right were you should be in weight.
Perhaps a better question is why do you feel you don't look as good as you'd like to be. It might be that you are wearing the wrong clothes for your body type, or need to have better posture, or maybe you look just fine and you are not comfortable yet in your body; after all, you are only 13. Don't worry, eat healthy and exercise and this body of yours will fit you soon. Hugs.

Since you are so young you are able to control your weight now rather than waiting til you are in your twenties to start worrying about it.
I am a Massage Therapist, I practice herbalism, and Holistic Therapies.
If you are in a situation where your parents are able to buy the appropriate foods and you apply the appropriate amount of sleep and exercise, as well as the occasional Massage which now you would have to be accompanied by a appraent or guardian for the session, you can lead a healthy, happy fit, life.
It is all up to you how you want to live, If you choose to be heavy and unable to wear the clothes the thinner girls wear then thats the life you will have,
But if you choose to eat healthy, exercise and get the right amount of sleep you need to feel alert and alive everyday then you will have a happy healthy life.
Good luck my dear and if you have any questions about Massage I have a website with information on what the modalities are and what the benefits are of Massage Therapy and the Body, But please keep in mind it is a website under construction.

I don't think you're even close to overweight, honestly. You're worried over nothing except the status quo.
Unless you're eating 4 boxes of Krispy Kremes a day and sitting on your butt all day, you probably aren't going to get much bigger. Besides, normal humans have 20-30% body fat anyhow, a little bit of a belly never hurt anyone.
First link is for BMI, Second for Body Fat (Don't worry yourself about your weight... you're fine just where you're at.)

No, you are definitely not overweight. Just because obesity runs in your family, it does not mean that you will end up going the same way. Just continue to eat healthily, exercise regularly and you will be fine. You certainly have nothing to worry about at present, your weight is considered to be ideal. HTH : )

No, you are normal.
Don't obsess about what the scale says, that leads to problems.
Focus on eating healthy foods and staying away from exessive sugar, fast food and processed foods.
Avoid soda and drink plenty of water.
Make it a lifestyle choice and habit and you'll be fine for your lifetime!

things that are in the family can be genetic or happen to you like them, but remember if they did something in life to become worse because of there age and weight that is there fault, all you have to do it EAT RIGHT and EXCERCISE, and stay away from snacks that are high in sugars, sodium, etc. Have respect for yourself. This is your life that God has given you, so good luck in your future. take care

you are in no way overweight. Given your stats, you'd have to weigh at least 150lbs before you would be considered overweight. You can calculate your BMI (body mass index) at the site below, and you are normal.
