Yes, the original people to inhabit France were white and their ancestors are white, mostly......unless there has been mixing of race.
There are many immigrants living in France, particularly immigrants from North Africa like Morocco and Algeria. The white French are notoriously brutal in their treatment to the immigrants from North Africa.
My sister lived in France a couple of years back. A Moroccan was hiting on her in a bar. She wasn't interested and shortly afterwards left the bar. I don't think she was rude to him but she can sometimes be unintentionally cold to people. She walked home and this guy followed her. When she got to her door the guy approached her again being persistant. She told him no again and as she opened her front door he stole her purse and ran away with it.
My sister went to the police. The police told her 'what do you expect? why were you talking to a Moroccan man?'
You didn't ask this but its just a side note ;-)

Yes, French people are white, or Caucasian. But remember an Ethiopian can move to France as a child and become French and be raised in the French culture and would also be considered French.

What a stupid question. French people are as white as British or German or Italian or American people. But then, in all of these countries, you will find citizens that have African heritage or Asian heritage. It is true with all western countries that are opened to the world. But the initial French people are white with predominantly Celtic and Germanic roots and some roots but more in the Southern parts of France.
