Coming from a straight woman....I don't see what the big controversy is over the marriage issue and why so many people are against it....if you love someone you should have the right to marry that PERSON....you can't help which sex you are attracted to......so my answer is yes...

I really don't even understand why this is an issue. No it should not! They can do the way they always have, with a "life partner". I mean what will the "marrier" say at the alter, "I now pronounce you wife and wife. / I now pronounce you husband and husband."? Doesn't that sound ridiculous? It's not natural. It's not what's suppose to be.
Be gay if you want, I don't give a crap. But the word marriage does not need to be redifined.
It's like when black people say that something is "dope", does that mean Webster's dictionary should change the meaning just because a certain group wants to make it mean something that is doesn't? Really. I say invent a new word that means homocommitment or homounion.

yeah why not in this country there is suppose to be a separation of church and state (even though people only separate the two only when its convenient to them)so i ask one question to those who oppose
what reason other than religious reason or a moral reason that stems from a religious belief is there that addresses why homosexual couples should not be granted the right to marry?
