Culture and society put skinney girls in front of the cameras. That is what sells. Then the everday girl nextdoor thinks she needs to be that skinny to get a guy. The guys want thier girlfreinds to look like they are from a magazine so they can feel comfortable with showing them off. Girls feel insecure and starve themselves to get guys who are insecure about what girlfrind they have. They think they are too fat because you never hear about girls that are too skinny unless they have an eating disorder. Then for some reason beyond my comprehention girls complain for hours at a time about how fat they think they are to their boyfreinds. We answer what we have to answer true or not. and then get sick of it and dump them. it really annoying and i blame the media

i don't want to be a skeleton, i just don't want to be as fat as i am. i know how i look when i feel my best (healthiest, most energetic), and it's usually when i'm considered to be underweight (5'7" and 114 lbs.). as i get older it's harder to keep the extra pounds off, and once they grab hold, it's almost impossible to lose them!! as an old broad, i can truly say that you're looked at in a totally different light when you're trim and slim and well groomed rather than pudgy, chunky and looking uncomfortable with yourself. hope this enlightened you!

you can't say all cause that's not true but yes for the most part girls just want to look the way that will make them happy and not many people say man i really need to gain a few pounds i just wish i was fat

Not all girls are skinny intentionally, I happen to have a fast metabolism, which makes it hard for me to gain a pound even when I eat 3 pounds of food.

society seems to prefer skinny people. Modeal, actresses, etc. are all skinny. This tends to make many girls feel like they should be that way too.

most chicks are, or could lose some weight that's why we hear so much about it, but the women on TV are disgusting i don't like to feel a woman's spinal cord when i touch her stomach either.

because in today's society its more "acceptable" to be thin. hey we started to think at a young age that the skinnier you are the more accepted you will be, look at barbie!

They think that the more skinny that get, the more sexy they get...because most of the boys don't like fat girls. They overdo it because they don't know what boys think about them...

if it wasn't weight they would find something else-people are always thinking badly about themselves...we are taught that feeling to proud of yourself is being conceited and putting ourselves down is somehow humble
