What is the real question? Are you trying to help your gdfthr? If so you must have a notarized Power of Attorney signed & dated by him or assigned you by a court judge if he is incapacitated. Are you are his remaining next of kin? A POA would allow you to make calls and sign necessary papers on his behalf. You legally represent his interests, not yours. If you are just trying to collect some $$ or benefits for yourself, I agree with the other answers that you, a grandchild, are not entitled to benefits earned by your grandfather for his service to the USA.

Sounds like someone is scamming you. Did you receive an unsolicited email or letter telling you that you were entitled to some money. If so, you are being scammed.
