I hope so! But they barely beat the gameCOCKS.... with Rutgers upsetting Louisville, do the Gators have a shot at the Natl Champ game?

Oh...and how great is it that Miami is sucking so bad? Another one in the "L" category!

SEC a powerhouse conference, I dont think Florida has a shot to make it to the title game. Number one they arent going to win the SEC, look at their offense and tell me you really think they are the best team in the SEC let alone the country. Number two they are going to take a hit in the computer polls next week with their DivII opponnent W. Carolina, lets hope an offense better than todays shows up or they could be real emberassed. Any team that plays a DivII opponent shouldnt be considered a legitimate title contender.

I was reall rootin' for Spurier and the GameCocks to pull that one off! They just couldn't step it up on D at the end, and a great effort from Florida's big 94 on special teams.

I think if they win out they will have a good chance (tough SEC championship game), only time will tell!

Yes, they do. In my opinion, all they need do is win out, including beating Arkansas in the SEC title game, and their strength-of-schedule should carry them through.

The one team that may have a shot to knock them out of the title game is USC, which has a killer schedule but should move up if they win out. Since I believe that OSU annihilates Michigan next week, the voters in both the coaches' poll and the Harris poll will be reluctant to give either Michigan or Texas a rematch with Ohio State, especially as neither has that tough of a schedule (Big XII isn't really that good, and Texas has a weak non-conference schedule outside of Ohio State; Big Ten really blows this year, with 8 really bad teams).

Im sorry to say but probably not, if Ohio State loses to michigan by a touchdown or less it will probably be a repeat of that game. If Ohio State wins and then USC wins out then it will probably be them two, if USC beats CAL, UCLA, Oregon, and Notre Dame you cant say there not the 2nd best team in the nation. And I think Texas who only lost to the best team in the nation right now is higher than Flordia. anyways there going to lose in the SEC champsionship game. And dont give me the Rugters crap, theres no way they make it to the national title game

I love the Florida Gators, but I don't think they have a shot because they struggle so much scoring points. If Southern Cal runs the table, they will probably be given the shot.

At this point there is a possibility. But it is slim. Strength of scedule is an issue . Plus the money factor will be involved. Who can sell the most tickets? I hate to be a cynic, but we see the best teams in the championships about every two out of three years.

No way! Just checked the SEC "powerhouse" reputation. Their only big win against 'out of conference' opponents is Cal by Tennessee. They duck everybody. Just heard that a bunch of SEC teams (except Kentucky who lost big) ducked Louisville. SEC powerhouse? I think not.
