My daughter has a 2001 Ford Escape and there is a white wire that is not connected to anything, it is just wrapped around the coolant overflow hose. There is a black wire also, but that one is going to into the back of the engine somewhere. they are associated with the Engine coolant switch and the Idle air control valve and some other sensor by the MAF. I believe this is causing her cold engine stalling problem. I have a wireing diagram but don't no much about it. I think it should be hooked up to the PCM. Help

if you can't read the wiring diagram you should probably take it to a shop. if you hook that wire somewhere it should not be you could burn out computers, sensors, wiring or anything else it may be attached to in some way and end up a very expensive fix.

In all honesty if U can't find anything on the web, you really should get with someone face to face who can look at it and give you a physical answer and remedy to that problem. You don't want to hook any wires up to the wrong things. The car has gasoline in it and can make a very large boom and fireball if that gasoline is ignited in any way, shape or form. I know you can feel that....... Be safe people.....
