if you are coughing alot and not feeling well, then maybe you should go home. only you can judge how strong or weak you feel. if you are coming down with a cold, the best thing is to stay home and rest.

If you were truly ill, you should probably go home. Since many illnesses are carried by what you sneeze/cough out, you're probably doing your co-workers and/or customers a favor by not spreading germs. This, of course, all depends on the policy at your workplace. It also would depend on whether you would be adversely affected financially by taking the time off.

If you were just having a bad day and coughing for effect, I'd recommend sticking it out. There will always be another day, one that may be better for you. If you get a reputation for leaving when things get rough, you may find it harder to get time off when you really need it.

stick it out the day can only get better. A day is only as bad as you let it be there are always going to be people or things that will try to piis you off if you let them. just remember you are in charge of your own life and feelings. so make the best of it despite those that would try to make it a bad day.

I would ask this question in another category...not marriage and divorce. The cough (not couph) must be affecting your vision or thought process also.

You want to go home from work because of coughing? Yeah, that's not really a reason to miss work. Sorry.

I haven't had a sick day from work in years. I usually just stick it out...I'm a salaried employee so I don't lose any money for taking time off.

WAS THE COUGH FROM A COLD, VIRUS OR FROM SMOKING? DID YOU WORK CLOSE TO OTHER PEOPLE? WOULD THEY POSSIBLY BE INFECTED? TEMPERATURE? PRONE TO PROLONGED COLD TYPE ILLNESSES? LOT OF VARIABLES ALREADY.
GOD BLESS
