The anticipation is half the fun! Then you are rewarded with two new additions to your body.
If you want it done that bad the pain won't be that important to you. It only hurts for a couple seconds and honestly, it's a rush. You'll be so proud of yourself once it's over. But please get them done professionally at an actual piercing studio not some cheap place in the mall. You get what you pay for.

Oh, it'll hurt. You're going to be poking a hole in a body part. It's not going to hurt that badly, though. I've gotten my ears pierced five times, and it's never been that bad, particularly the ones not up on the cartilage. The piercer will bring out the gun, put your ear into it, press the button, and you'll say "ow!", and that's it. Your ears will be sore for a bit, but you'll be able to sleep just fine that night. As long as you take care of them and don't let them get infected, they won't hurt after the first day. Okay, unless you get a cartilage piercing. For some reason, I personally cannot get those things to heal, so mine was sore until I gave it up and took it out, but that's not common. But it will be sore for a bit longer. But, yeah, don't worry. I've had paper cuts with more of a sting to them.

It doesn't hurt very much going in. It also depends if you get them done at the same time (two guns at the same time) or if you get them done one at a time. I got mine done one at a time. It hurts a bit going in but from what I remember not very much. The part I found harder was that the ear got really warm after and was very sensitive to any touch (putting a hat on or anything). If you don't take care of the piercing it will close up or it will get infected (which will hurt more). I'd say if you want to get them done GO FOR IT! It is not that bad.

With the gun they have now it's a quick pain- like being slapped- but quickly goes away and doesn't leave any long lasting pain- beside your lobe being warm.
I have 5 piercings. Three were done with guns- but my first two were done when I was in 5th grade with a needle and soap. If I could handle THAT- at THAT age- you can easily handle the gun now.
Just hold someones hand really tight- bite the strap of your purse- and DO NOT flinch! It will be over with before you know it and you will have years of being able to add an additional accesory to your style.
Make sure you get quality gold earrings and keep them clean to prevent infection.

The first piercing is a piece of cake. Brief ouch and it's over. Just make sure you turn them and keep putting the cleaning stuff they sell you on them and keep them in for the full length of time that is recommended before you change into different earrings. My second set hurt more and took longer to heal. I have one third hole and that was all I could deal with. The further up the ear, the more pain.

heyyyy! I had the same problem a few days ago. I just got my ears pierced on Friday, and people said it hurt A LOT. and it did not at all! I got it at Claires @ the mall. But yeah, the first one didn't hurt, felt like a pinch from a baby. And the second one only hurt a little bit more bcuz your brain knows what's coming. but it only feels like 2 pinches that time. I'm toootally serious. good luck!

Well, when I got my ears pierced, I was scared OUT OF MY MIND!!!!! But it doesn't hurt as much as you think. What really hurts is just the shock of something going through your ears. I really hope you gain the courage to end up doing it, because it's not NEARLY as bad as you think.

I don't know....I don't think it hurts that bad....since I got both my ears pierced when I was like 1 year old. I think all parent should do that....just pierce their kids' ears when they are younger...it's easier that way and they are going to do it anyways so might as well when they are young.

When I got my ears pierced, I was hysterical. My parents had to drag me into the booth to have it done. [I had it done at one of the county fairs] It's okay to be afraid but to tell you the truth, it doesn't hurt all that much.
Just remember, the higher up your ear you pierce it, the more it hurts.
