It's not only children who are afraid of death...but I think the reason child are particularly afraid is because death is so unknown. They are too young to really understand that death is a part of life. And often the only death they see is those that they love like grandparents, parents, siblings, close friends, beloved pets; it just hits close to home for them. If the only experience with death you have is the pain and loss of losing your beloved dog, or losing your favorite grandma, then death is scary because all you know about it is pain and loss. Plus with all the horror and violence in movies, television, and video games, it only makes death that much more scary by emphasising all the bad and evil in the world.
I think the reason adults are afraid of death is because they don't want to stop living life; and the idea of facing judgement is terrifying. Even if you aren't religious, often the thought of "what happens after life?" and "what if God really is real?" crosses people's minds when they think about death. They think that what if there really is some kind of judgement and I get judged for my sins and end up in hell or something? Or what if there is no after life and this is just it? The lack of certainty and doubt makes facing death very scary. Of course I think it is an entirely different fear from a child's fear of death.

well a child does not get scared until like the age of 1 or 2 i think, being afraid does not come up in their emotional criteria. I suppose everyone has a fear of death since its our natural bodies instinct is to survive. So I suppose the anwser to your question is that they are naturally scared of death.

because they have these dreams about what their going to be when they grow up and if they don't grow up they'll never have their dream.
they have so much to look forward to and are afraid that it could end and they would be sad until they know why it happened
if a kid has seen death happen they get curious and their mind wanders what if something happened to mom or dad who would take care of me, you know so they just don't want to be alone or feel like their the only one

babies are actually not apprehensive of dying in the precis. Very youthful babies do not actually have a sparkling thought of what it potential to be alive, can not tell the version between residing creatures and non-residing gadgets and have not have been given any concept of permanency. The word dying, for this reason, represents not something to them. it is too precis and unfamiliar to faze them. despite the fact that, even very youthful childrens adventure concern whilst dying ceases to be "merely a word" and it turns into actual. The dying of a puppy working example, motives stress and dissimilar questions between sons and daughters. they won't have the potential to get philosophical with it, yet they certainly prefer some reassurance approximately their very own existence and wellbeing whilst somebody close them dies or is close to dying. additionally they go through with separation, differences in well being and recurring and by making use of seeing human beings mourning. So, i does not say that young babies are not apprehensive of dying. they're, however the little or no ones are actually not in a position to work out it for all that that's. they only bypass in the time of the bits and factors of dying that has effects on them. have self assurance me, babies who're chronically unwell or have severe injuries would be rapid to ask in the event that they are going to die. i will permit you be attentive to from very own adventure, that youngsters who're on the brink of dying, the two their very own or whilst somebody of their community/relatives dies, they could understand what is going on very rapidly and adventure the comparable concern, rage, frustration and sorrow that adults sense.

You mean adults aren't!??? There isn't an age to be afraid of the unknown. The only difference in this case is that children have the humility to admit it.

I personally think they are afraid because they have yet to experience years and years of life. In their minds all they see is their gonna die instead of seeing they get to rest from this crazy world of ours.

It is bleak to think that one day you will die and never be able to experience joy again. This is the only alternative to the truth, that Jesus offers eternal life.
