Does papaya stop you from getting pregnant if you eat it after couple of hours of having sex?

At first I thought this was another old wives tale someone fed you but after some searching I see where someone may have gotten this.:
Women in India and Sri Lanka and other parts of the world have long used papaya as a folk remedy for contraception and abortion. Medical research in animals has confirmed the contraceptive and abortifacient capability of papaya, and also found that papaya has contraceptive effects in men as well.
although if your that worried about being pregnant that you'd try to end it maybe its best to avoid what causes it or to make sure you "wrap before you dip"? I don't condone the use of papya but better to be informed then get a load of BS right?

If you are trying to use it as a type of "morning after pill" it isn't going to work. Use a condom while having sex. If you aren't responsible enough to be prepared, you shouldn't be having it at all.
