what are the general characteristics that attract bees to flowers?

red, blue, yellow? long, short? perfumed? annual or perrenial?

Honey bees are attracted to plants with bright colours however they cant see red. All the bees (females called workers) will go out and once one finds a spot with alot of flowers the bee marks that area with a scent returns to the hive to get the other bees so they dont waste time looking for flowers.

The color does attract the4m but the main attraction is smell.
