It is definitely the chromosomes that divide in both mitosis and meiosis. However, the whole cells divides so # 1 sounds like the right answer. Did you ask in class? I am glad you are asking here , but you really should ask your teacher.

My answer to this on a test would be #3 or #5. Cytoplasm does NOT have to divide to have mitosis or meiosis, although the cytoplasm does have to split to constitute cell division. Mitosis is identified under the microscope when the DNA clumps up into chromosomes and divides, regardless of what the cytoplasm is doing.
The teacher gets an "F" for this poorly constructed question, IMHO, as well as not allowing you to know what she/he wanted, which would be a learning experience for you, even if after the test.

The answer is 1
at the end of cell division you have 2 nuclei, 2 sets of chromosomes & 2 cytoplasms because you end up with 2 cells from the original 1
teachings concentrate on the division of the nucleus & chromosomes in mitosis & meiosis but it's easy to miss that the cytoplasmic contents is also divided evenly between the two daughter cells

Should be #1 chromosomes, nucleus, and cytoplasm.
First the DNA/chromosomes replicate, then the nuclear envelope disappears so all the nuclear contents mix with the cytoplasm. Then one copy of chromosomes moves to one end of the cell and the other set of chromosomes to the other end. Then two nuclear envelopes form (one around each set of chromosomes). Then the cytoplasm split.
If your teacher is distinguishing between cytokinesis and mitosis then it is only the nucleus and chromosomes. The nuclear envelopes form during telophase (the last stage of mitosis/meiosis).

steps involve the division of the diploid nucleus into two diploid nuclei (Mitosis) the division of diploid nuclear chromosomes into haploid chromosomes and then these divided into other haploid chromosomes (Meiosis). The cytoplasm, does not divide, per se, by mitosis or meiosis, it just gets carried along when the cell membrane encapsulates it, the division is usually not 50/50 as with chromosomes. Similarly with the nucleoli and the organelles within the nucleus.
The mitochondria and other organelles also divide at the same time, but again, their inclusion in the new daughter cells is uneven and they float along with the cytoplasm, uncontrolled.
Just my opinion.

I think it's 5., because division of cells are all about chromosomes, and ... perhaps because of that "strictly"
But in the other hand, all cells are divided into nuclei, sets of chromosomes, and cytoplasm is divided too. In some cases mother's CYTOPLASMIC organelles, mitochondria, can cause disease, because mitochondria have some genetic material too. So 1. could be also correct.
If I'd have to choose, I'd vote for 5.
There is not certain way to determine what did the person who wrote this mean, except asking her.
