In naruto (anime) every once in a while there is an episode that people call a filler. What is a filler?

a filler episode/arc is when the episode(s) veer away from the storyline so they don't get ahead of the manga. Naruto is filler hell, but we still luv it to death, right?

A filler is an episode that in the end adds nothing to the story or the plot but lets the characters have a bit of fun

its something thats sorta irrelevant to the storyline that the animators make so the anime doesnt get ahead of the manga. Naruto's chock full of 'em!

It's just episodes that takes up space in the anime so it wo'nt go to far ahead of the manga.

its an episode that has no effect on any other episodes it just is to fill a certain time gap. go to wikipedia.org and type in naruto story arcs

an episode that has nothing to do with the plot-you can watch it basically whenever without knnowing anything

episode 101 is a very good example

its an episode taht is off of the story...it is a side episode
