many people will make the wrong decisions due to severe depression. it is always a good rule of thumb to choose not to make any really important decisions until you have had time to heal emotionally and you know your negative thoughts have been cleared.

when were depressed our mood slumps, our self image crumbles, our actions defeat us, and we seem to have no willpower.intense negative thinking comes with depression.we make bad decisions based on our thought process. our emotions are controlled by how we look at things. when we become depressed we feel worthless, a poor self image can transfer a thing like a divorce into an overwelming feeling of defeat. don't make any important decisions when going through a divorce, wait till u can feel better.depression can affect our choices because our thought process is all wrong.sometimes we need a support system when going through a divorce, people we feel safe talking to, maybe a trusted friend, or a minister. takes awhile to get past a divorce, because it means to us we failed in some way, but often times divorce is caused by someone elses choices, and really has nothing to do with us at all.

Absolutely depression will affect you decisions! Depression is a very normal, and common condition, that can be brought on by a major life event such as a divorce.
Depression will tend to paint a darker picture of life. And as such, you need to be aware of that. When one is depressed it helps to be very analytical and determined when making major decisions. Make no decision quickly, unless it is McDonald or Burger King.
A wise person seeks wise council. Ask friends and family to help. Ask for thoughts and opinions from people that you admire and respect. Most decisions are not all that difficult. But when you are depressed, even a simple decision may seem over whelming. Give it time. Ask for help. Pray.
Life will get better.

Been there and done that. Depression typically leaves you not caring about yourself or you life. You many find yourself forgetting to pay bills. The come in the mail, you don't feel like making out a check at the moment, and you forget them.
Depression will also leave you tired, and with aches and pains. You will have little or no appetite, things you used to enjoy doing you avoid.
Take walks in fresh air and sunlight if possible. The exercise is a magic bullet so to speak. Also, see your doctor, give him your symptoms and get an anti-depressant if necessary.
Remember, different drugs affect people differently, its possible that the first anti-depressant won't achieved desired results.

Depression affects your ability to think positively or optimistically. So, you would tend to make decisions more out of self pity rather than self preservation. Depression is usually caused by chemical imbalance in your brain. There are medications available through your doctor that can help with that, which should relieve depression and allow you to think objectively and make decisions to make things better again.

Yes it can if your not careful,But if people try to change the way they think about life after divorce,it will be much easier. It is not easy by any means, but it can be done.If you really want to move on with your life you can,by changing the way you think and the things you do that keep you depressed.
