There are plenty of Civil War buffs out there. There is a Civil War Magazine, that can be found with the war type magazines at larger magazine stores. The thing that hits me though, is the gold coin. If it is a Confederate coin, then it is a fantasy item. This would lead me and others, to think the letter maybe a copy or fake. The CSA never made one. If it is a U.S. mint issue coin and can be certified authentic, then any of your big coin dealers would be very interested, maybe even the auction houses. For more help from me, I need info on the coin.
