Because there are so many people with the same first and last name. You can better identify a peson with their full name and date of birth.

tradition. For some families, it follows their religious tradition to give a child a second (aka "middle") name when the baby is baptised. Other families use the middle name to respect a grandparent or other respected fmailiy member. Depends on the parents. More and more people have middle names given to them because the parents like the sound of it.

It helps to distinguish people with same or similar names. Or if you don't like your first name you can always use your middle name; however, most peoples middle name are worse than their first. So see I don't really know either. Just a guess.

WHY DO WE HAVE FIRST NAMES? OR LAST NAMES? WHY CANT WE ALL BE KNOWN AS BUBBA AND BAMBI, THAT WAY WE ALREADY KNOW EVERYONE. NO ONE WOULD BE A STRANGER.
