Hi,
I totally know where you're coming from. I struggled with really, really bad acne about 2 years ago. Intially I tried tetra-cyclin and retin-a. However, my skin got freakishly dry and I started getting a weird rash on my face.
I quickly stopped taking them and tried Proactive. That sure was a waste of money. I finally started showering directly after the gym and found that this helped tremendously. I also tried a free product I got on the net called Beautiful Skin. Believe it or not, it worked way better than the prescription stuff! I only paid $4.95 for shipping for a month supply. I re-ordered and I use it to make sure I don't get back my zits. It also has tea tree oil which feels really good on my skin.
Here's the link if you want to get it, I think it's the best thing I've ever bought for the price $4.95

Good Luck!

If you do pick or pop them sometimes, use Neosporin before bed and put in on the pimple and then cover with a band-aid. I have mild acne and I used to scratch my face and pick at the pimples a lot...so treat them as soon as you get them and then that won't happen, the suggestions others made are good. Use a product with salicylic acid...I like using an apricot scrub (in the shower) that has it as well as astringent (before bed) Astringent is awesome because it cleans the skin really well as well as treating pimples you have already. Make sure to us a moisturizer that is oil-free so it doesn't clog pores. Don't go to bed with make-up on, drink a lot of water.
The best suggestion I have though is salicylic acid products...they work really great for me!

Exercise a lot (Drip out the water by sweating) everyday.Stop eating oily foods, especially fried food, Chocolates (any cocoa product) and Cola Drinks. Infact avoid any food/drinks containing caffeine. Avoid excess sugar. Wash your face 3-4 times in a day with water.Drink atleast 2.5L of water everyday(drink about 1 L early in the morning - after getting out of bed). Occasionally scrub your face. Sleep for atleast 8 hours every night (most important).Remove the blemishes(as well as acnes), use benzoyl Peroxide (I strongly recommend Benzac AC cream and strongly disapprove ClearSil).Think less! Worry less! Don’t take tensions! Try to avoid direct sunlight. Be happy.
I have suffered from this myself and I occassionally find the pimples and acne level go up in case I don't excercise, take too much tensions and eat junk food.
Hope this helps.

- Steam your face with a little bit of lemon juice mixed with the water.
-don't pick at it! did you know if you pick or squeez at a pimple it can take up to 4 times longer to heal! that could go from one week to 4 weeks of a ugly thing stuck on you face.
- Moisturize your face even though moisturizing might make the pimple bigger it helps it heal better!
- If you don't have super sensitive skin put some tooth paste on the pimple before you go to bed it will keep it from getting baceteria from getting into it and prevent it from getting bigger and redder.
- You can put a drop of lemon juicy on it but not all over you face it will dry it out.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Don't change your diet. Unless you are putting chocolate and grease directly on your face, these don't cause pimples. I will tell you my secret. PEROXIDE. Straight from the bottle onto a cottonball and on the face. After, wash your face with soap and water. That's it! And as you can see in my avatar. I have no pimples.

use neutrogen it can be bought at any pharmacy no prescription required it is a little expensive but worth it. I have the same problem and have tried everything and neutrogen is the only thing that seems to work. it comes in pads that r pre-saturated with neutrogen or in a face mask form. takes as little as 3 minutes daily

SPECTROGEL is, in my opinion, the best pimple remover product out there. It works miracles! When you are done washing your face with Spectrogel, put toothpaste on areas of your face that has pimples or blemishes, and then wash it out when it dries.
