St. Anger was an awesome album...love it! I heard a new album will be coming out in late 2007...

Nope. Their new album is coming out in late 2007 to early 2008. I have the #1 Metallica group on Yahoo that has all the latest band news:

I think maybe after all the years on the road that they just may be a bit burned out. The next album will probably be ballads on acoustics.
