My son was born on 9-24-06 and passed away 10 days later on 10-04-06. He was born with a rare heart condition... His big sister Skyla' misses him as his father and I do. I need help for Christmas and no one is willing to help me. My daughter needs things as do we, but I'm more worried about her right now. Does ANYONE want to help us? Thank you -- my email is sunmoonsstars21@yahoo.com

Sunmoon, I am very sorry for your loss. I think it would behoove you to go to your local churches for help. They always have an abundance of gifts for people in need. I am not in a position to help you, as I myself am unemployed. If I could I honestly would!! My heart is with you and your family. GOD BLESS!!

What do you mean, no one is willing to help?? Salvation Army helps with food and toys, Catholic Social Services, local churches, Carl's Coats for kids, Tots Connection (if it exists in your area), if they won't help it's only because you are above the minimal poverty level. Could your family make $ yourselves? Babysitting, house cleaning, donating plasma...I am well below the poverty level but God provides (as long as I do the footwork). I provide 12-15 children with Christmas gifts every year..I ask for donated toys, clean them up and supply new batteries. If you are near my area I would graciously put Skyla on my list. You can email me.

There are lots of places that will help with Christmas for kids, I volunteer here locally and the names and ages have to be in by the 27th so get on the phone and call around your local dhs office should be able to give you some suggestions on where to check. Lots of places will even help with items for your holiday meal. GL

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family, I can only give you all my support (emotional, spiritual and mental). Go to a neighborhood church and talk to the pastor. He can assist you to the places, such as Salvasion Army, Red Cross and many local organizations.

Can you please:
Go and pick out the most special christmas decoration as a family, and together put it up every year. Make it a memorial every year and a tradition. Keep Skyla' in mind>

I'm sorry for your loss.
You should contact your church pastor. They are there to assist their congrigation.
If you don't belong to a church, don't hesitate to go to one of the local churches and ask for help.

There are also local agencies that can help you. Check your local phone book. You can also contact toys for tots.
